Yoga Nidra

Join us on the 2nd Saturday of the Month

Lead by Annalise Sullivan

In a world that constantly demands our energy and attention, rest has become a practice we must prioritize and cultivate. Rest is, after all, a vital, non-negotiable skill. Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep," is a powerful meditation technique that guides you into a state of conscious relaxation between the states of waking and dreaming. Yoga Nidra is a systematic journey into the art and science of profound rest, designed to restore your body, refresh your mind, and reconnect you with your deepest self.

Our practice will begin by mapping the geography of your inner world. Inspired by a deep understanding of the body as a living landscape, you will be guided on a detailed tour of your own physical form. This systematic journey of awareness invites your muscles, bones, and even the deepest layers of your connective tissues to release long-held tension. As you inhabit your body with this level of presence, you learn to consciously down-regulate your nervous system, inviting a state of cellular-level ease and restoration.

As the body finds stillness, the mind can unfurl. We will leverage the science of how your brain responds to deep relaxation, guiding your awareness into restorative brainwave states typically only accessible during deep sleep. It is in this fertile, receptive state of consciousness from which we will connect with our intuition and plant a seed (Sankalpa), a heartfelt intention for our lives. This is where you can align your conscious desires with the quiet wisdom of your subconscious mind, creating a powerful blueprint for your life.

This class requires no prior experience or physical flexibility. All you need to do is lie down in a comfortable position and listen. Join us to recharge your entire system, improve sleep, reduce stress, and access the potent sanctuary of peace that already exists within you.
