Traci Soriano, BA, LMT & Owner
I have been in practice since 2004. I specialize in a holistic and therapeutic approach to massage, which includes spending time discovering what each individual client needs. I work from a deep understanding of the body, combined with an intuitive sense and touch.
I have had a variety of advance training in different modalities for injury and treatment, some of which include myofascial therapies, deep tissue, neuro-muscular techniques, and cupping therapies. I am trained in prenatal and postpartum massage and both of our massage rooms have pregnancy tables available. All massage is therapeutic and I will meet you where you are that day, whether you need deep treatment, focus on an injury, or relaxation, you will receive the utmost care.
I have been a faculty at Whatcom Community College in the Massage Practitioner program since 2011. I teach Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, and Prenatal and Perinatal massage therapy. I also have studied, trained, and worked in midwifery care and doula services for over 15 years and hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Continuing education classes are an ongoing component of developing my skills and deepening my knowledge.
My practice is based on the belief that each individual can achieve healing, wellness, and peace. My goal is to create a space for you to discover what your body needs to find wholeness and work together towards a state of optimum health.
Khya Rice, BA, LMT
What is our experience of ourselves? Of our bodies? How do we express our life's story in motion and are there areas where we could experience more ease in movement?
I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 2004 where I received an academically rigorous, well-rounded education in anatomy and physiology, massage theory and technique, communication, and business practices.
I have gone on to study and specialize in craniosacral therapy. Cranial work is based in osteopathic medicine. This work relies on an inherent, universal healing force to help the body untie the knots that bind it up, lighten the darkness where suffering is stored, and heal itself. As people go through life they have physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences that can stick with them, make them sick, and cause them pain. I work with the movements of bone, muscle, membrane, and field as well as the health and flow of cerebrospinal fluid to optimize whole body function and assist in dispelling strain patterns. I also provide intraoral therapy to help with release in the neck and jaw.
I approach each session with a 3-dimensional understanding of the body and a strong background in injury treatment. I bring curiosity and an open mind to the table and tailor treatment to the individual. I enjoy helping people investigate the barriers that keep them from feeling whole and balanced.
I am excited about joining the Bellingham community and look forward to working with you.

For as long as i can remember, loving touch has been a normalized and celebrated facet of my life. As I’ve gotten older, I have realized that this is not the case for everyone. I have often been astonished and saddened by the lack of gentle, caring touch others are exposed to in their own lives.
I have become dedicated to bringing healing touch to those seeking it, including individuals who have experienced a lack of healthy touch and those struggling with the social stigmas of “imperfect” bodies or minds.
After receiving a bachelor's degree in psychology from Western Washington University, it felt like a natural step for me to pursue my Massage Practitioner’s License here in Bellingham through the WCC program. After acquiring my massage license, I traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand where I received training in Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, which I have been able to incorporate into my practice as an alternative, specialized dimension of bodywork.
I have found true joy and fulfillment in bringing healing to the bodies of others. I approach my work with honesty, compassion, patience and humility. I am honored and grateful to be able to share this healing at Veritas Massage Studio.

The work I do comes from the depth of my own soul-call; through the roots of my own healing, the pursuit of my passions and through years of experience and practice.
I am dedicated to being in service to the wholeness that resides in each of us, and devoted to the mystical journey of transformation. I believe healing is possible on every level- physically, emotionally and spiritually. My role as a therapist is to practice and adhere to the fundamental tenet that your body has the intelligence and capacity to heal itself and I am simply a facilitator to that end.
As a licensed massage therapist for over 22 years, a registered yoga instructor and former ballet dancer, I have built a deep experiential knowledge of the anatomy and physical patterns of the human body. As a CranioSacral therapist, I have come to respect and learn greatly from what the wisdom of the subtle body teaches. This has allowed me to work from a place of curiosity, accessing a deeper layer of activity that occurs within the nervous system and the energetic fields of the body. My work takes on many forms and varies according to each individual’s needs in the moment. I am guided by deep listening and work from my intuitive perception to gently hold a safe and nourishing space for healing to occur.
I offer my heart and hands, my skillfulness and my presence.

From a very young age, I’ve felt a calling to help people and began my journey into healthcare.
During my high school years I became a CNA and worked at my hometown hospital. I then transitioned into private in-home care while attending college at Western Washington University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
While engaging in my own journey to health and well-being, I discovered naturopathic medicine, holistic healing, and massage therapy. I believe that in order to truly achieve a healthy body we must focus less on treating a symptom and more on treating the mind, body, and soul as a whole.
I approach each client with an open mind and have the respect and understanding that you know your body best. Massage allows me to help bring awareness to your body and how it is functioning while also helping to provide relief. I focus on creating a grounding and comfortable space for you to relax and heal. During sessions, I use a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular Techniques along with my intuition. I am also trained in and love providing Prenatal massage. I believe that massage is an integral part of a holistic and healthy life and I look forward to working with you wherever you are on your path to health.
I am a graduate of the Whatcom Community College massage program, where I received a rigorous and well-rounded education about the body and the healing powers of massage.
Mouse Bird LMT
My legal name is Elizabeth. Mouse is the name that my mum gave me on the day that I was born. For me, massage is a gift and demonstration of our innate need for one another, our need for touch. Simple and profound. Touch affects the body -emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual...- in profound ways.
Our bodies have awesome capacities for feel-good living. However, we do not always experience life in our healthiest of bodies. We are not always living at our greatest potential. Our bodies respond to our developed habits: posture, diet and nutrition, physical activities, relaxation, and stress responses. Our habits live in our tissues. Injuries, and physical and emotional traumatic events can reside in our bodies as well, causing tension, pain, and anxiety. Massage cannot promise to change habits or erase the past, but it can certainly change the way that we experience our bodies and lives today, promote healing, and bring awareness to patterns and connections.
To each massage I bring my presence, intuition, skills and experience; to assist the body on its own unique journey with its natural abilities, to achieving optimal health and balance. Massage can be a very intimate and energetic exchange. I will strive to be grounded and provide a safe space to allow healing to occur.
I attended the Port Townsend School of Massage and have been a Massage Therapist since 2011. I practice a range of modalities including but not limited to Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Active Isolated Stretching, Orthopedic Massage and Perinatal Massage. If you are dealing with stress, injuries, chronic pain or inflammation, headaches, limited range of motion, or just want to get in touch with your body, there is great potential for massage to help.
Kristy Moodie LMT
In a world where we may lack connection, massage therapy helps to bridge energetic gaps between individuals and helps us to exam the needs within our own bodies. I consider myself, not a healer, but a grounded individual that is willing to show up, be present, and hold safe space for you to discover your own joyous self through the healing power of touch.
I graduated from Whatcom Community College Massage Therapy School. My goal is to help guide people comfortably into the depths of their own layers, to uncover what has been holding them back and what can help to propel them forward. I work from an intuitive approach and meet each client where they are at while guiding them through the experience they are having. With trust and safety, we soften our nervous system and tune into our patterns so we can move to true healing. I look forward to providing a massage tailored for you, with your goals being top priority. I encourage active listening, communication, and consent. I believe that massage therapy is one of the most effective ways of promoting peace throughout this world, beginning with ourselves and spiraling out into peaceful connection with all beings. I massage using Swedish, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular Techniques.
"I just wanted to express what I'm sure you already know. You have put together such an incredible team. Besides yourself. You all really are the best of the best around here. And I'm very grateful."
- Glenn H., Bellingham, WA
"I had a GREAT massage yesterday. For the first time in over 2 years, I woke up WITHOUT my usual frozen, stiff, painful lower back. I can't say enough great things about the massage. I will be a weekly client from now on, after going several years without. After yesterday, I realize this is probably the best thing I can allow for myself - and desperately need. Thank you."
- Michelle D, Bellingham, WA
"Thanks Khya for another amazing massage, and the patient process of guiding my shoulder back into submission, you’re a fantastic practitioner... and on the car ride back, Jim kept saying (over and over…) that his massage (with Traci) was just the best ever. Looking over at me and saying 'No, really'!"
-Jeanne and Jim P., Lopez Island, WA
"I have been going for professional massage for over 20 years. Several years ago I went to Traci Soriano at Veritas Massage Studio, and now, no place else will do. Traci is "hands down" the best. She creates an environment of warm, positive energy, the scents and the music are perfect, and her style and method are spot on. I'm always amazed at how she knows what areas need work even before I do! I am so grateful for the consistently professional and excellent massage that I get at Veritas. Thank you, Traci!"
- Glenn H, Bellingham, WA
"I have been seeing Traci for massage for SEVERAL years now. I love her massages. I am an avid athlete and her deep tissue work on a regular basis always feels so good and helps me work even harder. She also did some specific work on my shoulder following rotator cuff surgery that aided my rehabilitation and physical therapy. Traci is the best massage therapist I have ever had the privilege of seeing!"
- Misty N, Bellingham, WA
"That was the BEST massage I have EVER had. I have really bad back pain with my scoliosis, and have never been able to get any pain relief. I hate taking pills of any kind, so I have always just suffered through the pain. I stopped getting massages, because even though they feel great, they have never helped. That's all changed!
I have been pain free for 3 hours (and counting)! I have NEVER been pain free. I'm not sure how long it will last, but for a person who has had chronic back pain their whole life, 3 hours is more than I could have ever imagined, or asked for. Thank you thank you thank you! I will be seeing you soon!"
- Sara D, Bellingham, WA
"Khya at Veritas is excellent, and if you suffer from chronic joint pain, her healing hands will help to restore mobility and alleviate pain. The studio environment is very private and comfortable, and her demeanor is both professional and able to put you at ease. I would highly recommend!"
- Selena V., Bellingham, WA
